Online Log Furniture Store Now Offers Discounts on Quantity Orders

(PRWEB) September 13, 2006 -- Log Cabin Rustics, a leading online log furniture store, is now offering discounts of 5-15% on quantity orders.

“We offered a similar program in the past,” says Carla McPherson, vice president of sales for the company, “but we pulled back a bit to re-evaluate the program in light of the upswing in fuel and shipping charges.”

Log Cabin Rustics offers free shipping of rustic log furniture in the continental United States, explains McPherson.

“Once we send a delivery truck to somebody’s log cabin with one piece of furniture, the cost to add another is somewhat less,” she says. “So we pass as much of that savings as we can on to the customer, in the form of quantity discounts.”

Log Cabin Rustics sells Amish log beds, night stands, dressers and chests, among other rustic items. The log furniture store also carries a log futon and a full line of log dining room furniture.

“A lot of customers ask us to furnish their cabin or second home in the mountains,” says McPherson. “But there are many other uses for rustic log furniture as well. “Our log bunk beds and loft beds are very popular in college dorm rooms, and the canopy beds are always a favorite for home decorators with high cathedral ceilings.”

Despite the fact that many other styles of furniture have been introduced to buyers, log furniture continues to be a popular choice.

“Much of our log furniture is hand-crafted by the Amish, who have preserved the art of building rustic furniture from generations to generation,” says McPherson, who enjoys learning about the rules of the local Amish culture.

“They don’t use electricity, but they will use air compressors to power their tools,” she says. “They won’t drive a car, but it is OK to have a forklift truck. And they don’t have a phone in their house or business—although there is a phone, and answering machine, in a payphone booth outside the shop.”

“The most important thing to us it, they build great furniture,” says McPherson. “They are honest, hard-working, great to do business with and do quality work. Because of their belief in a simple life, they don’t sell on the Internet.” One of Log Cabin Rustic’s Amish suppliers did confess once to going to the library to take a look at the company’s website.

“He wanted to see how we were selling so much furniture,” chuckles McPherson. “I could have told him that—people like great prices, free shipping, quality furniture and great customer service. For us, that’s what it’s all about.”
